Today I have seen (again) a mention of a situation in the Western countries like USA or Germany where it’s punishable by law that you do some elementary repairs which could be done by professionals. It literally prevented me from sleeping so I decided that I will write my thoughts and opinions on this topic here.
In short, my opinion on this is that it’s such a total bullshit, it’s criminal.

I highly recommend this novel. Characters are superb, story has many twists, bootstrapping the civilization from medieval to industrial is very interesting to watch.
I would like to say “this is how an isekai story should be written” but sadly author had to rush the ending so no. :(

Between around 2010 and 2017 I have read a set of books on software development which influenced greatly how I approach development. I would consider some of them “essential” indeed. But your mileage may vary and I probably missed something which I never heard about.

It is because of unbelievable things like that I’m still writing code.
